Earlier this month, actor and politician
Govinda was hospitalised after accidentally shooting himself in the leg due to a misfire. Among those who rushed to the hospital was
Krushna Abhishek’s wife, Kashmera Shah. Krushna, who was in Australia at the time, visited Chi Chi Mama as soon as he returned to India.
Tina Ahuja, Govinda’s daughter, shared, “After returning from Australia, Krushna came home, and Arti (Singh, Krushna’s sister) was also there. They met Dad, and everything felt just as normal as before. Krushna had just come back from Australia and was relaxing at home.”
She continued, “Things are going smoothly. I stay in touch with Arti and Kash (Kashmera), and we exchange messages. Krushna recently invited my brother for a drive. We all enjoy late-night drives and ice cream together.
Bhagwan kare aise hi rahe jaise chal raha hai aur ab kuchh na media
mein aaye (May God grant that things continue as they are, and let’s hope nothing else surfaces in the media).” (Laughs!)
Tina has consistently refrained from commenting on the public feud between the two families. She explained, “When all these stories were being circulated, I told Arti that I wasn’t interested in talking about it. I prefer to remain silent.
Main bas apna kaam karti hoon and keep myself away from media attention.”
Over the past few years, tensions have often flared between Govinda and Krushna, along with their respective families. The Bollywood superstar has openly expressed his discontent with his nephew’s sense of humour and the jokes made at his expense. Additionally, mami Sunita Ahuja distanced herself from Krushna and Kashmera, citing misbehaviour and disrespect, and vowed never to speak to them again. Since then, the two families have kept their distance from one another—until the wedding of Krushna’s sister,
Arti Singh, in April this year, which was attended by Govinda and his son, Yashvardhan.
