'Border 2': Ahan Shetty steps into father Suniel Shetty's shoes; says 'I'll do my best to honour the legacy'
Bollywood heartthrob Ahan Shetty has officially joined the cast of 'Border 2', the production house announced on Thursday.
The announcement was made in a video posted on the production house's official handle and featured clips of Suniel Shetty in the memorable role of Border Security Force Officer Bhairon Singh.
Ahan took to his handle to share the announcement, writing a touching message that read, "Ironic how life works—my journey with 'Border' started 29 years ago when my mom visited dad on set while pregnant with me. I grew up hearing OP Dutta's legendary stories, holding JP uncle's hand, and sitting by @nidhiduttaofficial’s side. I never realized how much those moments would shape my love for cinema and the Indian Armed Forces."

He added a personal note to his father, saying, "And to you, Papa—everything I am is because of you, and I'll do my best to honour the legacy you've worked so hard to create."
The much-anticipated sequel to the 1997 classic 'Border', directed by JP Dutta, will see the hunk stepping into his father Suniel's shoes and continuing the legacy. The original film became iconic for bringing the India-Pakistan war to the big screen.

The sequel, directed by Anurag Singh, will feature an ensemble cast including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh in lead roles.
