Jr NTR is back on the big screen for the first time since the success of SS Rajamouli’s RRR with his latest film 'Devara: Part 1'. This is his first solo film in the last six years and the excitement for the film is palpable. But when it comes to Hindi, the response is a bit subdued. There is no doubt that in the past Telugu films like RRR, Pushpa- The Rise, Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire or Baahubali series have done exceedingly well but with Devara things are a bit different. The most common factor in all the aforementioned films was Prabhas and SS Rajamouli with Allu Arjun being the only exception.

Jr NTR though being a big name in south cinema, in Hindi not many people have seen most of his films and is still building up his base in North India. The film which released today is expected to make Rs 1.94 crore in Hindi while the overall advance booking for the film in all languages stands at Rs 38.84 crore without block booking. With block booking the total advance sales stands at Rs 54.27 crore. It would be interesting to Jr NTR’s journey into Hindi belt as he will next be seen in Ayan Mukerji directed War 2 with Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani. In an interview he also shared that Hrithik and him will be having a dance number in the film.
