During her appearance at CinemaCon, Halle was directly asked by 'Black Girl Nerds' whether she would be seen in Marvel’s future ensemble. Her response? A coy, “Keep waiting. It’s not going to be there… It’s not going to be there.” But fans aren’t taking that statement at face value.
In another brief interview with Entertainment Tonight, Berry flashed a cheeky smile and chuckled before replying, “They should keep hoping for that,” when asked if she’d ever reprise the role of Storm. Her playful tone and evasive body language only fueled fan theories that the denial was more misdirection than truth.
Since then the social media has exploded with confident assertions that she must be in the movie. The reactions ranged from humorous certainty to impassioned pleading: “She’s 1000% in the movie,” one user insisted, while another begged, “We need Storm!” Others declared, “No one else can play her,” and “She better be there with Famke!!”
Fans are treating Marvel’s marketing strategy with increasing skepticism, especially after past instances where surprise cameos were hidden until the very last moment. With Marvel Studios known for its love of secrecy and unexpected reveals, some believe Berry is simply playing along to preserve the surprise.
