JKBOSE Class 10 result out, Urdu tops with 92.5% subject pass rate
JKBOSE Class 10 result 2025 out: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Wednesday declared the Class 10 Annual (Regular) Examination results, recording a commendable overall pass percentage of 79.94%. Out of 1,45,671 students who appeared for the examination, 1,16,453 have successfully qualified, reflecting a significant academic achievement across the Union Territory.
The results, as per the official Gazette, show a familiar trend with girls once again outperforming boys. While 81.24% of the girls passed the exams, the pass percentage among boys stood at 78.74%, underscoring a consistent gender-based academic edge in recent years.
Girls outperform boys as overall success rate nears 80%
A closer analysis of the performance reveals that at least 16,343 students achieved the highest possible grade, A1, showcasing excellence across subjects. In contrast, only 49 students were placed in Grade D, indicating a relatively low number of underperformers. The distribution of grades highlights the concentration of students in mid to high-level performance bands:

The subject-wise performance also reflects a strong academic output, especially in core subjects. Urdu saw the highest pass rate at 92.5%, followed by Science and Social Studies at 90% each. English, Mathematics, and Hindi recorded pass percentages of 84%, 88%, and 88.5% respectively.

Students can check their results online through the official JKBOSE website by following these steps:
Step 1: Visit the official JKBOSE results portal: http://jkresults.nic.in/jkboseresultx.aspx
Step 2: Select the link for “Secondary School Examination (Class 10) Annual Regular – 2025.”
Step 3: Enter your Roll Number and Registration Number in the required fields.
Step 4: Click on the ‘Submit’ button.
Step 5: Your result will be displayed on the screen.
Step 6: Download and print the result for future reference.

Examination conduct and future steps
In addition to academic evaluation, JKBOSE has taken disciplinary action in several cases involving unfair means, reinforcing its commitment to integrity and transparency in examinations. Students are advised to note that applications for the next examination must be submitted within 15 days from the date of result declaration. The submission should include a Permission-cum-Admission form with a photograph duly affixed, and must be accompanied by the Eligibility Certificate.
