CUET PG 2025 begins tomorrow: Shift timings, exam pattern other changes you must know

The National Testing Agency (NTA) begins the Common University Entrance Test-Postgraduate (CUET PG) 2025 on March 13, 2025. The exam duration has been shortened to 90 minutes with 75 questions. Candidates can download their admit cards from the official NTA website. The application fee has also been raised by INR 200 across all categories.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will begin the Common University Entrance Test- Postgraduate (CUET PG) 2025, tomorrow, March 13. The examination is set to go on until April 1, 2025, and each exam will be held in three shifts.
NTA has reported 4,12,024 unique candidate registrations for CUET PG 2025. Students who have registered for the exam can download the admit cards from the official NTA website, exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-PG. The CUET PG 2025 admit cards are available for exams from March 13 to 20, 2025, while the city intimation slip has been released for all exam days.
The exam will provide students an opportunity to apply for admissions to 190 universities across over 150 courses.

CUET PG 2025: What’s changed?

The duration of the CUET 2025 exam was initially set at 2 hours (120 minutes), but it was reduced to 1 hour 45 minutes (105 minutes) last year. In the latest update, the CUET PG 2025 exam duration has been further shortened to 1.5 hours (90 minutes). However, the number of questions remains unchanged at 75.
The application fee has also been raised by INR 200 across all categories.
Additionally, the number of CUET PG 2025 exam centers in India has been reduced to 285. There are 27 international CUET PG exam centers for 2025, including three newly added locations: Abu Dhabi (UAE), Oslo (Norway), and Frankfurt/Berlin (Germany).


CUET PG 2025: Shift timings

The CUET PG 2025 exam will follow shift timings as given here:
  • The morning shift will be from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM,
  • the afternoon shift from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM, and
  • the evening shift from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
Please note that there will be no exams on March 14, 17, and 20. Candidates are required to carry their CUET PG admit card 2025 along with a valid photo ID, such as an Aadhar card, voter ID, driving license, or passport.

CUET PG 2025: Exam pattern and marking scheme

The CUET PG 2025 exam will be held in an online, computer-based test (CBT) format. Candidates will have 90 minutes to answer 75 multiple-choice questions. The exam aims to evaluate candidates' subject knowledge and analytical abilities.
Candidates will earn four marks for each correct answer, and one mark will be deducted for each incorrect response. Unanswered questions will not receive any marks. Candidates should carefully answer each question to maximize their scores and minimize penalties.
