Yogi Adityanath’s leadership.
The minister said that the massive gathering, which drew 66 crore visitors from around the world, showcased Uttar Pradesh’s governance and administrative efficiency.
“The Maha Kumbh was a big success globally. In fact, the success of chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s eight-year tenure can be determined by the success of the biggest global gathering of humans at one place”, he said at a function organised by the Namami Gange and rural water supply department.
Singh highlighted the event’s security arrangements, noting that no crime was reported during the festival. "The success of CM Yogi Adityanath’s eight-year tenure can be determined by the success of the biggest global gathering of humans at one place,” he added.
The event felicitated 112 employees and agency workers for their role in organising the ‘Swachh Sujal Gaon’ exhibition, which showcased rural Uttar Pradesh’s transformation under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
Praising the exhibition, the minister said it effectively demonstrated the impact of various water initiatives. He also lauded the efforts of department employees in assisting devotees at the Kumbh, calling their service “praiseworthy.” Highlighting rural water accessibility, Singh noted that under the ‘Nal se Jal’ initiative, drinking water is now reaching every household in even the most challenging regions like Bundelkhand and Vindhya.
He added that alongside improved water supply, rural infrastructure, including roads and housing, has seen significant progress.
Additional chief secretary Anurag Srivastava credited the success of the exhibition to employees' hard work, while information commissioner PN Dwivedi noted that it featured symbolic elements such as the "Matke Wala Chauraha," representing the essence of the Kumbh and rural development.
