Yadav claims that Adityanath supports an 'underground force' targeting opposition voices, following an attack on Suman's residence by Karni Sena members. He also pointed to corruption within the ruling regime.

NEW DELHI: Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Monday held Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath responsible for any potential harm to party MP Ramji Lal Suman, following an attack on Suman's Agra residence by Karni Sena members who were protesting his Parliament statement about Rajput king Rana Sanga.
The attack occurred after Suman referred to Rana Sanga as a "traitor" during a Parliament session last month, prompting protests from the Karni Sena outfit.

"If any incident happens with him (Suman) or anyone else or even if he is humiliated, the only person responsible is the chief minister. He is encouraging these groups just like Hitler used to have troopers," Yadav stated while speaking to reporters after welcoming new party members.

The SP chief accused the state government of operating a "hidden underground force" targeting individuals and suppressing dissent.
"They are acting like stormtroopers, humiliating citizens at will. This force has been created and empowered by the ruling regime," Yadav said.
Yadav also criticized the government's stance on corruption, pointing to a recent case involving a suspended IAS officer.
"One of their own officers was caught (demanding money for clearing an investment proposal). He must be hiding at the chief minister's residence," he claimed, referring to IAS officer Abhishek Prakash, who was recently suspended from his position as Invest UP CEO due to his alleged involvement in a bribery case.
The SP president alleged that those who previously claimed "zero tolerance" against corruption are now personally involved in it.
