‘Mega projects will harm Agonda ecology’
Canacona: Agonda gram sabha resolved to oppose all proposals of future mega projects in the area on Sunday, fearing they will not only disturb the ecology but also stress limited resources.Former sarpanch Badal Naikgaonkar demanded no mega projects be allowed in the village at the cost of the locals.
Gram sabha also decided that the panchayat should collect waste at least three times a week. Suggestions were also received over containing stray dog menace.
A congratulatory motion was also passed.
