Continuing from where we left off, a common question arises: Why do some criminals seem to lead a  wonderful life? This is indeed something worth pondering.

To answer this, let’s consider a simple analogy. Suppose we plant seeds of papaya, apple, and mango  on the same day, nurturing them equally. The papaya tree might bear fruit within six months, the apple  tree in a year, and the mango tree in two years. Now, imagine one year as one lifetime. Just like the  trees, the seeds of our karma—whether good or bad—will manifest their results at different times.  Some may take effect in this lifetime, some in the next, and others even further down the line.

If we sow positive karmic seeds—acts of kindness, honesty, generosity, and love—we will reap happiness, success, and fulfillment. On the other hand, if we plant negative seeds—of violence,  jealousy, vengeance, dishonesty – lying, stealing, injury, we will inevitably reap murder, theft, loss,  divorce, rape, cheating, betrayal, hatred and misfortune. When people experience hardships, they  often question, “Why me? I haven’t done anything wrong in this life!” But what about the seeds of negative karma sown in past lifetimes? The results we experience now are merely the fruits of those  past actions.

Similarly, some criminals may currently enjoy wealth and luxury, but these are only the results of past  good karma—fruits from seeds planted long ago. The negative karma they are accumulating now will  also bear fruit in due time.

The concept of lag time

When a father plants the seed of a child in the mother’s womb, the baby does not appear instantly— it takes nine months to be born. Similarly, different karmic actions require  different timeframes to manifest their consequences.

  • Papaya (6 months) → Some karmic results appear quickly.
  • Apple (1 year) → Some take a little longer.
  • Mango (2 years or more) → Some take lifetimes to manifest.

Thus, there is always a lag between cause and effect, which is why some people appear to “get away”  with negative actions—until their karmic debts eventually catch up with them.

How to change your Karma and manifest your desires

Does this mean we are bound to suffer for past karma, even if we don’t remember it? No. Just as a barren field filled with weeds and thorns can be transformed into a lush garden, we can consciously  plant good seeds of karma to shift our destiny.

Imagine your present life as a field. The fruit trees and flowers represent past good karma—leading to joy, success, and prosperity. The weeds and thorns symbolize past bad karma—leading to suffering,  loss, and hardship.

If we keep planting hundreds of good seeds of karma (kindness, generosity,  compassion, charity), in time, they will grow into a thriving orchard of positivity.  Eventually, the weeds and thorns lose their influence. Just like a full bloom garden full of flowers & fruits, attracts butterflies & birds our life becomes

abundant with happiness, peace, prosperity, and effortless manifestation. And if, instead, our life remains like a garbage dump, it will attract flies, pests, and rodents—in real life, these manifest as fraud, deception, and misfortune. Thus, our present life reflects our past actions, but our future will be determined by what we do today. We cannot change our past, but we can shape our future by changing our actions now.

Everything that happens to us good or bad; every experience in our life is due to our “Karmic  Entitlement”, created by us, lifetime after lifetime. So when a poor beggar wins a lottery & becomes wealthy, it was his Karmic Entitlement to become rich.

The True Secret of Manifestation

We are born with a destiny, but God has given us the power to change it. God does not punish us— our own karmic choices create our suffering. Once we take responsibility for our actions, we gain the  power to transform our lives.

Everything in the universe follows the law of cause and effect. If we are experiencing a golden phase,  it is because of past good karma. If we are going through hardships, they are the results of negative  past actions. By analysing our current experiences, we can trace them back to their cause and make  conscious changes to alter our future.

The Law of Reflection also applies here. If we plant cherry we will get cherry, not strawberry. So, if we  plant seeds of pain, we will manifest pain not abundance. The desired fruit needs to have the same  seed planted.

The Role of Character in Manifestation

As I emphasized earlier, good character is the foundation of manifestation.

Just as strong muscles create a healthy body, strong virtues create a powerful soul. The purer and stronger the soul, the more effortlessly it can  manifest desires. When a person attains a high level of spiritual purity,  whatever they think or say manifests instantly. This is why, in ancient times,  powerful sages and rishis could bless or curse people, and their words would immediately take effect. For example, When Rishi Durvasa cursed Shakuntala, her husband completely forgot about her. When he blessed Draupadi, ensuring she would never run out of clothing,  no one could strip her off her dignity.

The Two-Step Process to Ensure Manifestation

According to the great spiritual teacher Master Choa Kok Sui, the Golden Rule of Karma has two sides: 1. Neutralize Negative Karmas (Reduce Negative Balance) -Become aware of negative patterns and  consciously change them. If you have hurt someone, practice forgiveness and make amends. Shift from causing pain to bringing joy to others.

  1. Generate Positive Karmas (Increase Positive Balance). Consciously engage in acts of love,  compassion, and kindness. Help others, not just physically but emotionally and financially. As you generate good karma, it neutralizes past debts and overflows into an abundance of positivity. The Law of Karma encompasses the Law of Multiplier Effect. Just like a farmer plants one seed, & the tree gives many fruits, when we plant 1 karmic seed it germinates multiple fruits. So, when we help a  poor with money it secures fruits of wealth manifold. And if we start donating or doing charity regularly, it ensures manifesting wealth & prosperity in abundance.

By following these principles, manifestation becomes effortless, permanent, and deeply fulfilling.
